Super Bowl Prediction
on Jan.05, 2011, under Superbowl Odds
Super Bowl betting lines opened this week, as the final game of the regular season concluded Sunday night with a Seattle Seahawks NFC West clinching victory. This season has been marked by results that most NFL betting experts could not have anticipated. With that said here is our prediction for which two of the remaining 12 teams will play in the Super Bowl.
The 2010-11 Super Bowl game will feature the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers. This season, the New England Patriots were expected be a part of the changing of the guard for the AFC East, by stepping aside and letting the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins qualify for the playoffs. While the Jets qualified in a wild card position, the Patriots made sure that it would be they and not the Dolphins to once again win the AFC East title.
Leading up to the regular season, the Patriots were being speculated to take a step back, as they would be using a relatively young defense, with a frail Tom Brady. Recall, a couple of seasons ago, Tom Brady blew out his knee, and over the years since the injury, Brady appeared to be a more fragile quarterback. This season, Brady proved that he is still the Brady we all loved during the early part of the decade, where he was leading the Patriots to Super Bowl titles and MVP trophies. Brady put together another MVP worthy season, while guiding his Pats to the league’s best record at 14 and two.We still feel they have another Super Bowl title left in the tank, and won’t be taking their foot off the gas pedal any time soon.
On the contrary, the Green Bay Packers got into the playoffs on the final day of the regular season. Despite all of the injuries the Packers have suffered this season, we feel that this is the year they finally go all the way. Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings and Donald Driver have proven that they can run the offense, while Clay Matthews has helped the Packers defense become one of the fiercest in the entire NFL.
